The following real-world gallery and test scene shots were first published in our 2013 Camera Roundups, but we're highlighting the Nikon D5300 again in case you missed it the first time around since we're working toward a full review in 2014.

The D5300 is Nikon's latest evolution of the D5200 by removing the optical low-pass filter (OLPF) from its 24MP CMOS sensor and adding a larger 3.2in articulated LCD, a slightly larger optical viewfinder, 1080/60p video, built-in Wi-Fi, and GPS.

We also published test scene shots, including downloadable Raw files of both the daylight and low light scene. As usual this allows you to compare the D5300 with other cameras, as well as letting you download the images to test with your own workflow.

There are 23 images in our samples gallery. Please do not reproduce any of these images on a website or any newsletter / magazine without prior permission (see our copyright page). We make the originals available for private users to download to their own machines for personal examination or printing (in conjunction with this review), we do so in good faith, please don't abuse it.

Unless otherwise noted images taken with no particular settings at full resolution.
