Canon LC-E6E Battery Charger Review
Digital camera battery chargers are an essential requirement for all digital cameras and they come in different types in which users can recharge, replace and carry along from place to place.
How long they last depends on the user's choice.
The LC-E6 Battery Charger from Canon is designed for use with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital SLR camera. This unit can be used to charge the LC-E6 Battery for the 5D Mark II from a standard electrical outlet.
I bought this to replace a Canon charger that came with my 7D (otherwise identical to this one), except my old charger will charge all my batteries perfectly fine and this new one will not. It seems Canon put some sort of electronic block on non-Canon batteries.
I was this expecting it to be similar to the regular model that comes with the 5D/7D to charge. Instead it’s a corded plug-in charger could be great in some instances. When you plug it in and put on a battery, the red light comes on.
If you happen to rely on both Canon official batteries as well as third-party backups, take heed as this charger specifically says on the box, that it will not charge third-party batteries.
There are actually no flashing indicators.
It also works great with my Canon 60D, Purchased when my original was packed away during a move.
It’s nice having a spare plus I love the light indicator that shows how fully charged it is.
I like to order original Canon chargers and batteries. They have never failed me. Also, one is always in my Camera bag while the other is in the house. That way, I never forget it.
